Healthcare Facilities & Medical Accommodation
Healthcare accommodation, medical clinics and health facilities for regional and remote communities, delivered using off-site construction.
Westbuilt delivers healthcare facilities and medical accommodation for health providers, government organisations and project stakeholders across Queensland and New South Wales. Our building solutions support the delivery of practical spaces for healthcare professionals, patients and the communities that rely on local health services.
From healthcare worker accommodation and medical staff housing to consulting rooms, clinics and supporting health facilities, we work with clients to understand the requirements of each project and develop a building solution suited to its intended use.
In regional and remote communities, delivering healthcare infrastructure can present challenges around site access, trade availability, construction timeframes and the coordination of works. With Westbuilt's off-site construction process 80% of the building work is completed in our Warwick factory while site preparation progresses on location. This reduces on-site construction time and disruption while providing greater control over quality and project delivery.
Our approach can support a range of healthcare building requirements, including accommodation for doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers, medical consulting spaces, regional clinics and facilities that support the delivery of local health services. Each project is considered in line with its operational needs, site conditions and applicable building and compliance requirements.
For health services and organisations planning new facilities or additional accommodation, modular construction offers an alternative to completing the entire building process on-site. By coordinating factory manufacturing with site works, Westbuilt helps bring together the different stages of a project with greater certainty around construction and delivery.
Whether you're planning healthcare staff accommodation, a regional medical facility or a purpose-designed clinic, Westbuilt works with project stakeholders to deliver a practical solution suited to the needs of the service and the community it supports.

Class 5 Dental Facility – Modular, Compliant, Efficient
Westbuilt Homes was engaged to design, manufacture, and install a fully compliant Class 5 dental facility in Gladstone, built to meet AS1428 accessibility standards. Delivered in three precision-engineered modules and installed on concrete piers, the project included treatment rooms, offices, reception, and staff amenities. On-site works such as ramps, stairs, a carport, and pathways were seamlessly integrated, whilst careful planning ensured the facility was completed with minimal disruption to ongoing dental services.
FAQs
What types of healthcare buildings can Westbuilt provide?
Westbuilt is proficient at delivering projects involving healthcare worker accommodation, medical staff housing, consulting spaces, clinics and supporting facilities. The suitability of each building depends on its intended function, design requirements, site conditions and applicable health and building standards.
Can modular buildings be used for medical clinics?
Modular construction can be suitable for some medical clinics and healthcare facilities, provided the design meets the operational, planning, building and health requirements of the intended use. Clinical services, equipment, accessibility, services and infection-control requirements should be considered early in the design process.
Does Westbuilt provide healthcare worker accommodation?
Westbuilt has delivered many homes for healthcare workers, particularly where regional and remote communities need housing to support their health services. The design can be developed around the intended occupants, location and project requirements.
Can healthcare facilities be delivered to regional and remote locations?
Westbuilt builds across regional and remote locations in Queensland and New South Wales. Site access, transport, installation, foundations and available services need to be assessed to establish the right approach for each healthcare project.
How can off-site construction benefit healthcare projects?
Most of the building work can be completed in a factory while site preparation progresses. Depending on the project, this can reduce the amount of construction required on-site, help coordinate the construction program and minimise disruption around an existing healthcare service or facility.
What needs to be considered when planning a modular healthcare facility?
Important considerations include the intended clinical or accommodation use, planning approvals, accessibility, building classification, fire safety, medical equipment, building services and any applicable health facility standards. Establishing these requirements early helps determine whether modular construction is suitable for the project.
